New Vision Era Mentor Program
"Empowering Great Youth for a Greater Tomorrow"
One of the most powerful phrases ever said to me in my adult life: "Be the mentor that YOU needed". In working with our youth in several capacities over the last decade; starting in my time as a student myself at Tuskegee University and even more now as a mentor for underprivileged youth at the high school & young adult level; the biggest takeaway I can offer is the beauty and strength in their unbridled potential. Depending on a myriad of factors; (namely WHO'S guiding them) could be the very determinant in whether they'll sore to heights they never imagined for themselves or if they'll spend much of their adult life living in regret.
The NVE Program
Mentorship is extremely important and if we could save EVERY child; I'm positive we would! While New Vision Era's reach may not be as extensive as we one day aim to be, our impact will make waves!!
Our primary focus is towards inner-city and /or underprivileged youth between the ages of 12-21. Much of the time, the environments in which they spend a great deal of their time lead to trauma, poverty, violence, abuse, lack of belief and support and so much more. Statistics and personal experience prove that these same youth provided with support, trusting relationships, guidance, redirection and a little extra 'TLC' place these same youth on a path in which they not only deal better with the obstacles and resistance they often face but they go on to lead successful lives.

Using several outreach and program recruitment offerings we firmly believe that if we create a 'dope' service and environment; not only will they come but they will STAY with the NVE Mentor program. Social Emotional Learning activities such as group outings, themed discussion groups, etc and strong, healthy relationships between our mentors and mentees are the strongest factors in keeping engagement and program referrals high.

Those who choose to enter the program will have access to opportunities and resources to support learning and career readiness, resume help, business plan assistance, financial literacy, financial planning guidance, personal development, certifications, credit recovery assistance, etc. NVE program participants can expect a mentor with a commitment to honesty, confidentiality, strong listening, flexibility and with no judgement who are supportive but who will also hold you accountable regarding the goals and plans you set.
